Troubleshooting

What to do when a render is refused, slow, or not what you asked for.

“Flagged as sensitive” or refused

Each model has its own safety filter, and some are stricter than others; the credits come back. Seedance often refuses photorealistic faces. Rephrase, use a less realistic style, or try another model.

It’s taking a long time

  • Video takes minutes, not seconds, and longer at peak times. The bar along the top shows everything still rendering.
  • You can close the panel, switch tabs or reload: renders keep going and land in the gallery and on their shot or node.
  • If the bar pulses with “Taking longer than usual”, it's still being watched. Give it a few more minutes before running it again.

Characters or places change from frame to frame

  • Give each character a portrait or photo, and each location a set plate or photo: frames copy those pictures. See Story.
  • Use a frame model that takes reference images. Klein is fast for blocking out; Refine the keepers with Nano Banana 2 or GPT Image 2.
  • Different spots in one big place should be separate locations, each with its own plate.

The image has things I didn’t ask for

  • Open the Frame prompt (or a location's Set plate prompt) to see exactly what was sent, and edit it.
  • Describe what you want rather than what you don't: image models tend to draw what a prompt names, even after “no”.
  • Text in the image usually comes from words in quotes; leave quotes out unless you want lettering.

Not enough credits

The free plan has a daily limit as well as a monthly one; it resets each day. See Credits and plans.
